Seems to this Grannie that both North American countries are the BEST to live and prosper in by far, as a direct result of both job-providing industries and the transportation of goods and services provided by oil and gas.
I have heard the President of the U.S.A. state that we are "addicted" to our consumption of petroleum products. But to loosely quote Dennis Prager, does Mr. President believe that humanity should not have begun to use the resource IN THE FIRST PLACE?
I think it's a BAD analogy to compare our use of petroleum products to, say, crack cocaine, for example. Silly president. Needs to check his fancy rhetoric. It doesn't make sense.
